The Smart Guide to Global Shipping
Project Story
ShipsGo began with an idea: make container movements in ocean freight easy to track in one place. As shipments move between carriers, ports, and countries, users often have to navigate multiple screens to find information. The goal was to turn this complex flow into a digital guide for logistics professionals and cargo owners alike.
Every early product decision was grounded in how users search for shipping information and what they need to see first. We treated design, software, and the business model as connected parts of one product journey. Launching the first version was only the beginning; the platform continued to grow through customer feedback and new needs.
We were part of ShipsGo’s eight-year success story—from idea to code, launch, first customers, hundreds of customers across seven continents, and angel investment.
Challenge
A container’s ocean-freight route passes through systems operated by different carriers and ports. Finding out where a shipment is, when it will reach the next port, or how to compare shipping options requires information from multiple sources. This makes tracking slower and decisions harder.
ShipsGo needed to make large-scale global shipping data simple for users without losing the details that matter. The product also needed to be ready to grow from day one, work well for users in different countries, and support a sustainable business model.
Our Approach
We clarified the target users, core product value, and information needed for shipment tracking. We translated this work into brand language, user flows, and interface design, then built a clear product plan for development. This turned an early idea into a digital product that could be built and expanded step by step.
We designed port-to-port service search, container movement tracking, and shipment reporting. The interface presents complex logistics data clearly, bringing search results, tracking, and reports into one experience.
We also designed memberships, trials, paid plans, and credit-based usage. Payment infrastructure completed the journey from sign-up to using the service. After launch, we continued supporting the platform and developing it around changing needs.

Outcome
ShipsGo grew from its first customers into a logistics technology company serving hundreds of customers across seven continents. Users can track container movements and shipping information on one digital platform, giving them a more complete view of their operations.
The journey did not end when the software went live. Product, design, development, first-customer experience, and international growth reinforced one another over eight years, laying the foundation for ShipsGo’s success and angel investment.
